SUPER TET Mock Test Series — Overview

Namaste dosto! Super TET 2026 ki taiyari mein English section ek crucial role play karta hai, aur usmein bhi 'Reported Speech' ya Direct Indirect Speech ek aisa topic hai jahan se har saal questions aate hi aate hain. Main jaanta hoon ki bahut se students ko yeh topic thoda confusing lagta hai, par trust me, agar aap iske basic rules samajh lete hain aur achhe se practice karte hain, toh yeh aapke liye score-booster ban jayega. Aaj hum Unictest par Super TET English Reported Speech ke rules ko detail mein samjhenge aur dher saare practice questions bhi solve karenge.

Maine pichle kayi saalon se dekha hai ki students Direct Speech se Indirect Speech mein convert karte waqt tenses, pronouns aur time/place adverbs mein galti karte hain. Yeh galti isliye hoti hai kyunki unke basic concepts clear nahi hote. Toh chaliye, sabse pehle hum Reported Speech ke fundamental rules ko revise karte hain.

What is Reported Speech? (रिपोर्टेड स्पीच क्या है?)

Simple shabdon mein, Reported Speech ka matlab hai kisi ki kahi hui baat ko apne shabdon mein ya uske original shabdon mein batana. Jab hum kisi ki baat ko uske exact shabdon mein batate hain, toh use 'Direct Speech' kehte hain. Aur jab hum uski baat ko apne shabdon mein thoda badal kar batate hain, toh use 'Indirect Speech' ya 'Reported Speech' kehte hain.

  • Direct Speech: He said, "I am happy." (यहां वक्ता के मूल शब्द वैसे के वैसे हैं)
  • Indirect Speech: He said that he was happy. (यहां वक्ता के शब्दों को थोड़ा बदलकर बताया गया है)

Expert Tip: Super TET mein mostly aapko Direct Speech se Indirect Speech mein convert karne ya vice-versa karne ke questions milenge. Toh rules ki pakad bahut zaroori hai!

Basic Rules for Converting Direct Speech to Indirect Speech (डायरेक्ट से इनडायरेक्ट स्पीच में बदलने के बुनियादी नियम)

Chaliye, ab un important rules ko dekhte hain jinhe follow karke aap Direct Speech ko Indirect Speech mein badal sakte hain:

1. Reporting Verb (रिपोर्टिंग वर्ब)

  • Agar Reporting Verb (said, says, tell) Present ya Future Tense mein ho, toh Reported Speech ke Tense mein koi change nahi hota. Example: He says, "I am ill." -> He says that he is ill.
  • Agar Reporting Verb Past Tense mein ho (jaise 'said'), toh Reported Speech ke Tense mein changes hote hain.
  • 'Said to' badal jata hai 'told' mein. Example: He said to me, "You are my friend." -> He told me that I was his friend.

2. Conjunction (कंजंक्शन)

  • Assertive sentences mein 'that' ka use hota hai.
  • Interrogative sentences mein 'if' ya 'whether' (Yes/No questions ke liye) ya 'wh-word' (wh-questions ke liye) use hota hai.
  • Imperative sentences mein 'to' ya 'not to' ka use hota hai.

3. Change in Tenses (टेंस में परिवर्तन)

Yeh sabse critical part hai. Agar Reporting Verb Past Tense mein hai, toh Reported Speech ka tense is tarah badalta hai:

  • Present Simple -> Past Simple
  • Present Continuous -> Past Continuous
  • Present Perfect -> Past Perfect
  • Present Perfect Continuous -> Past Perfect Continuous
  • Past Simple -> Past Perfect
  • Past Continuous -> Past Perfect Continuous
  • Past Perfect -> No Change
  • Past Perfect Continuous -> No Change
  • Will/Shall -> Would/Should
  • Can -> Could
  • May -> Might
  • Must -> Had to (ya No Change in some cases)

4. Change in Pronouns (प्रोनाउन में परिवर्तन)

Pronouns 1st, 2nd, aur 3rd person ke hisaab se badalte hain. Iske liye ek simple rule yaad rakhiye: 'SON' rule (Subject, Object, No Change)

  • 1st Person (I, We): Changes according to the Subject of the Reporting Verb. (Reporting Verb ke Subject ke anusaar badalta hai)
  • 2nd Person (You): Changes according to the Object of the Reporting Verb. (Reporting Verb ke Object ke anusaar badalta hai)
  • 3rd Person (He, She, It, They): No Change. (कोई परिवर्तन नहीं)

5. Change in Time and Place Adverbs (समय और स्थान सूचक शब्दों में परिवर्तन)

Kuch words Direct Speech se Indirect Speech mein convert karte waqt badal jaate hain:

  • Now -> Then
  • Today -> That day
  • Tonight -> That night
  • Yesterday -> The previous day / The day before
  • Tomorrow -> The next day / The following day
  • Last night/week/year -> The previous night/week/year
  • Next week/month/year -> The following week/month/year
  • Here -> There
  • This -> That
  • These -> Those
  • Ago -> Before

Common Mistake Alert: Students often forget to change these time/place adverbs, especially 'now' to 'then' and 'today' to 'that day'. Is par khaas dhyan dena!

Dosto, Reported Speech ke rules ko samajhna ek baat hai, aur unhe exam pressure mein sahi se apply karna doosri baat. Super TET 2026 mein safalta paane ke liye, aapko ek solid preparation strategy ki zaroorat padegi. Main aapko apni teaching experience se kuch practical tips dunga jo aapko English section, khaaskar Reported Speech mein excel karne mein help karenge.

Super TET English: Reported Speech Preparation Strategy (सुपर टेट इंग्लिश: रिपोर्टेड स्पीच तैयारी की रणनीति)

Mera suggestion hai ki aap Reported Speech ko sirf ek chapter ki tarah na dekhein, balki ise English Grammar ke core concepts se jodein. Pichle 5 saal mein maine notice kiya hai ki is section se 5-7 questions zaroor aate hain, aur yeh aapke score ko significantly boost kar sakte hain.

1. Master Tenses First (सबसे पहले टेंस में महारत हासिल करें)

  • Reported Speech ki jaan tenses mein chhupi hai. Agar aapko tenses ki achhi samajh nahi hai, toh Direct se Indirect mein badalte waqt galti hone ki sambhavna zyada hogi.
  • Har tense ke structure ko achhe se yaad karein aur unke past equivalents ko bhi samajhein (e.g., Present Simple -> Past Simple).

2. Understand Pronoun Changes (प्रोनाउन परिवर्तन को समझें)

  • SON rule (Subject, Object, No Change) ko apni copy mein bade letters mein likh lein.
  • Practice karte waqt, har pronoun change ko highlight karein taki aapko uski logic samajh aaye.

3. Focus on Special Cases (विशेष मामलों पर ध्यान दें)

Kuch sentences aise hote hain jahan tense ya pronoun rules thode alag tarike se apply hote hain:

  • Universal Truths/Habitual Facts: The teacher said, "Honesty is the best policy." (Tense change nahi hoga) -> The teacher said that honesty is the best policy.
  • Imperative Sentences (Commands/Requests): Reporting verb 'ordered', 'requested', 'advised' mein badalta hai aur 'to' ya 'not to' lagta hai.
  • Interrogative Sentences (Questions): Reporting verb 'asked', 'enquired' mein badalta hai. 'If/whether' ya 'wh-word' ka use hota hai. Sentence structure assertive ho jata hai (Subject + Verb).
  • Exclamatory Sentences: Reporting verb 'exclaimed with joy/sorrow/surprise' mein badalta hai.

Expert Tip: Ek easy trick bata raha hoon – raat ko sone se pehle 10 minutes mein Reported Speech ke saare rules ko ek baar quick revise karo. Brain mein permanent ho jayenge!

Recommended Books and Resources (अनुशंसित पुस्तकें और संसाधन)

  • Lucent's General English: Ismein Reported Speech ka section bahut comprehensive hai aur Super TET level ke liye perfect hai.
  • Plinth to Paramount by Neetu Singh: Is book mein bhi detailed rules aur practice exercises mil jayenge.
  • Unictest Mock Tests: Hamare platform par available mock tests aur quizzes se aap real exam environment mein practice kar sakte hain.

Daily Practice Routine (दैनिक अभ्यास दिनचर्या)

Consistency is the key! Ek daily routine follow karein:

  • Week 1: Basic rules (Tense, Pronoun, Adverb changes) par focus. Har din 15-20 questions solve karein.
  • Week 2: Special cases (Interrogative, Imperative, Exclamatory) par focus. Mixed practice questions solve karein.
  • Week 3 onwards: Previous Year Papers (PYPs) se questions solve karein. Super TET ke alawa CTET, UPTET, DSSSB jaise teaching exams ke PYPs bhi helpful honge.

Warning: Bahut se students is chapter ko skip kar dete hain ya sirf upar-upar se padhte hain – yeh sabse badi galti hai! Reported Speech ek scoring topic hai, ise ignore na karein.

Frequently Asked Questions (SUPER TET)

Super TET English section mein Reported Speech se generally 5-7 questions tak puche ja sakte hain. Overall English section se 20 questions aate hain, jismein Reported Speech ka weightage kaafi significant hota hai. Agar aap is topic ko achhe se prepare kar lete hain, toh exam mein kam se kam 5-7 marks pakke hain, jo aapki final merit list mein bahut bada impact daal sakte hain. Isliye, is topic ko bilkul bhi underestimate na karein aur regular practice karein.

Super TET ke liye Reported Speech mein sabse important rules hain: Tense changes (Present to Past equivalents, Past Simple to Past Perfect, Past Continuous to Past Perfect Continuous), Pronoun changes (SON rule - Subject, Object, No Change), aur Time & Place adverbs (now-then, today-that day, here-there, etc.) mein parivartan. Iske alawa, Interrogative, Imperative aur Exclamatory sentences ko Indirect Speech mein badalne ke niyam bhi bahut mahatvapurna hain. Universal truths aur habitual facts jaise exceptions ko bhi dhyan mein rakhna zaroori hai, jahan tense change nahi hota.

Super TET English Reported Speech ki taiyari ke liye Lucent's General English aur Plinth to Paramount by Neetu Singh bahut achhi books hain. Inmein detailed rules aur practice exercises mil jayenge. Online resources mein Unictest ke mock tests aur quizzes aapko real-time practice provide karenge. Previous year papers (Super TET, CTET, UPTET, DSSSB) solve karna bhi utna hi zaroori hai, kyunki isse aapko exam pattern aur question types ki samajh aati hai. Regular practice aur conceptual clarity par focus karein.

Direct se Indirect Speech mein badalte waqt students commonly tense changes, pronoun changes aur time/place adverbs mein galti karte hain. Jaise, reporting verb past tense mein hone ke bawajood Reported Speech ka tense change na karna, ya 'you' pronoun ko galat tarike se badalna. Interrogative sentences mein 'that' conjunction ka use karna ya question mark hata kar sentence ko assertive form mein na lana bhi aam galti hai. In mistakes se bachne ke liye, har rule ko achhe se samjhein aur dher saari practice karein, khaas kar mixed sentence types par.

Super TET 2026 mein Reported Speech ke questions ko kam samay mein solve karne ke liye, sabse pehle question ko dhyan se padhkar reporting verb ka tense aur sentence type identify karein. Phir, options ko eliminate karne ki technique use karein. Agar koi option tense, pronoun ya adverbial change ke rules ko violate karta hai, toh use turant hata dein. Conjunction aur sentence structure (assertive form after 'if/whether' or 'wh-word') par bhi dhyan dein. Regular practice aur mock tests dene se aapki speed aur accuracy dono badhegi, jisse aap exam mein time efficiently manage kar payenge.
